Strawberry Poolside by hollowzero Strawberry Poolside by hollowzero
Yarrrrr

This be an all solid oekaki work, yarr. It was both fun and tedious. It's Strawberry Reef..her non-symbol side anyways, swimming in a pool. Amazing! :o

Materials: optical mouse, PaintBBS 2.04

Arrr, tis the pink Loch Ness pony! Hee, lovely work, I'm just being strange because of illness and having just customed Stawberry Reef. Great braid!

I'm War_Pony on the arena, by the way.

What a gorgeous oekaki! You paid great attention to color here. And I love the tiles and the towel.

I love this! I've been a swimmer for 13 years, and well, I'd let strawberry reef swim with me anytime!! Doesn't she have tinsel in her hair though? Excellent job, I adore your pony art. ^_^

Very cute as always and the cel-shading is perfect . I like how you made the tiles around the pool have that little sheen that comes from having water splash up onto them . Hey do you prefer using shi-painter to PaintBBS?

If I'm doing a simple picture, or a picture with all solids, or sometimes realism pictures..I go for PaintBBS. ShiPainter is best for its smooth lineart. So if I want to do a picture with smooth lineart, I use it. Or well, if I want to play with the watercolor tool.

Both applets are good, just depends on what you want to do with the picture. :) Sometimes I do prefer PaintBBS though, since it's simpler..no need to worry about 10 layers or whatever, then.

I really like how this looks! I can tell you spent quite a bit of time on it. ^^

Strawberry Reef is a great pony, isn't she? ^_^

The angle the picture is set at is great!

Thanks for posting some pony art!

Yes, I really do love Strawberry's colors. Reminds me of a strawberry milkshake..or strawberry icecream with strawberry syrup..

And thanks, the angle was only put in to fit in the Arena's oekaki limitations though..hehe. :D You're welcome..have I not drawn ponies in a while? *looks around* o.o

Your oekaki work is always amazing. This had to have taken forever, especially with all the little ripples in the water & the tiled floor. I also love the sign in the background. :D

I don't usually like to be critical on pieces, but I figure since you asked for advanced critique, I'll give you a little. :) It seems to me that her neck is a little too long. The neck kinda reminds me of the Loch Ness Monster. :giggle:

I love it nonetheless. :D Great work.

Yeah, I tried to make that sign like those No running, No highdives, etc signs at public pools..hehehe. With ponies, safety comes first. ;)

Yeah..bad thing is I already had shortened the neck alittle before I colored. :o I think I always mess myself up, and give ponies more horse-esque anatomy..
